Does anyone have a Spyball alarm/immobiliser fitted to their G?

My 1991 300GEL had this fitted prior to my ownership, so sometime in the early 90's.  The Spyball company is no longer in existence.  Replacement remotes have been obtained from Tech-Tronics but the key to switch off the unit is lost.  Having dismantled the alarm unit located on the inner side of the nearside front wing to access the key switch I am baffled by what I've found, namely six contact points, of which two have black wires connected, two have red and two are unconnected.  The key switch is in the ON position and this closes contacts between the two red wires and between the two black wires.  If these contacts are broken by dismantling the key switch then the vehicle does not start. This suggests that if I had the key and could turn the switch to the OFF position then some other combination of contacts among the six points would be produced and I would be able to start the vehicle.  I am reluctant to try this on a trial and error basis as the electronics are very complex and I don't want to risk immobilising the G.  It would be of great help to know from someone  who has one of these how far the key turns between ON and OFF and whether that's clockwise or anticlockwise.
