Hazard diagnosis - help required

Basically the hazards dont work but the indicators do.

When the indicators are on and I switch on the hazards, it kills the inidicator.

Have tried a replacement relay although I am not 100% convinced it was the same one (Halfords - say no more, although they did give the money back) The only difference being that the original has a diagram showing a 4 way and a 2 way whereas the replacement only showed the 4 way. aside from that it was identical. If I order a replacement hella part, it comes back as 3 pin when mine has 4?????

Do the symptoms suggest this could be the hazard switch itself?

Replies appreciated as the MOT is out and I need to get it on the road ASAP for as little £ as possible
