I need to do some work on the back underside so wanted to lift the car.

I've a scissor lift that works really well on my other cars but I have not yet found a safe lifting position for the wagon.  The photo shows my attempt with the front under the axle and the back under the frame.  I figured it was engine front heavy.  But the lift was unsafe.  Almost rocked backwards and forwards.

where do you lift it from?

Hi Steve,

Theres a boody great ladder frame, front to back?  Heavy duty too.  Is that not the place, where there are some lateral projections welded on.

I have never had to do it, so I defer to others.

I have seen G's hoisted from above using the tubular projections at the front and rear wheels, but it doesn't seem as safe as under.

If it was me, I would use a good set of drive on ramps.  Good excuse to use low range transfer box.  2 are easier than 4.
