Morning all,im just about to go and spend the day fettling my project G.I'm getting close ish to booking an mot in a couple of weeks.I havent really been able to drive it because the rear spring mounts and shock absorber mounts didnt exist, rusted to nothing and i mean nothing who says g's dont rust but it has limped around the yard and the brakes do work, very well and after inspection of drums all in fine fettle. In the throes of accessing the rear spring mounts i discovered the rear brake bias and a broken pipe to same,no fluid in the resevoir under the bonnet, this appears to be a seperate one just for the brake bias.My question is why is  there a brake bias on a G,the brakes work fine without it,albeit at very low speeds, will the brakes fail the MOT without a working brake bias?Cheers.Nick

Only one brake fluid reservoir on a 460 just by the servo. The reservoir on the nearside is for the diff locks.

Brake "bias" at rear is I think mechanical.

Good luck with the mot

Ah,that'll be the pipe from the rear diff lock master cylinder then [if thats what its called] and not the brake bias mechanism, thanks for that, ive wrongly assumed the diff lock was mechanical not hydraulic,so the brake bias is mechanical then,so i'll assume its the arm with the link from thetop of the chassis to the axlei'll investigate further tomorrow.Cheers.Nick

So,further investigation reveals that yes the diff cylinder is empty but the pipes all intact, however the pipe from the engine bay brake resevoir is the broken one, crimped at the end so that no fluid reaches the rear brake bias cylinder,i suppose its time for the apparently long winded brake bleeding once the i replace the broken pipe, thanks for your advise.Nick
