some lovely cars for sale at reasonable estimates, the GES looks good and if anyone isn't sure about Bullbars that's how they look on the vehicle

Re: 463 at Auction

I'm really trying to persuade myself to make the trip to go and see this one but all the scare stories on here about potential problems/pitfalls and the fact that it's a 4 hour drive just to get there it's not an easy decision.

Does anyone know this one or have any views from what can be seen in the photos/description.

Any comments - pro or con would be greatly appreciated.

Mark

At first glance very clean and tidy, but that raises questions with the age concerned.

Looking at some of the fittings in the engine bay, you need to have good look for hidden rust.

Pictures are only from one side, so impossible to comment on the other side.

But on the seen side:

Alignment of rear end of front wing top

Might be just the picture, but the door seems strangely out of alignment

Gap between rear bumper and body side seems to be tapering and opening up towards the rear

Others here, please comment, but for me something is not "right" with the wheel arches???

There will also be a reason for the mis-shapen mudflaps - look at that as well.

Some had biodegradeable head gaskets like the 2.9's and with incorrect anti freeze or not enough of it, it will just rot away.

If you have a look under the radiator cap, it should look like pure anti freeze.

The rest is pretty much what is common G buying advice elsewhere on this forum.

Do it, you'll learn from it. Good or bad.
