463 door on a 460

I may have just bought a salvaged 463 door to replace my rusty 460 - will it go on without any fuss? 

anything i should know?

 

plan is to restore the 460 door in my own time and sell on

Hinge and latches should line up... bonus of upgraded removable hinges

Mirror mount may need tweak - no wires on a 460 mirror but suspect it is covered by the mount.

Interior door card mounting would be the biggest difference I suspect..

Ah.. in that case I think I already have a 463 rear door on a 1988 460... well it has odd holes and is not quite right and definitely has been replaced. It fits right up but there is one hole which the door card does not cover .. and when I bought the car I did not realise it was wrong so not obvious. It is looks like the hole is to allow the "door locked" button to poke up and I bought a grommet to fill it I think.

thanks, its arrived and looks great, i love that the door card covers the whole thing so i'm guessing it will be better for sound isolation too, i'm going paint the inside with zinc paint and it and stuff it with sound isolation stuff before i fit it i think

it has no fog light so i'm going to re-route and cut something into the rear bumper so keep the nice clean lines on the door

I have a standard 460 door card on what I think is my 463 replacement door?

For rear bumper .. I trimmed the inner ends off, fitted number plate lights in there and then put a number plate in with a 463 mid plate trimmed up. TBH the number plate is too tight to tow hitch but it works fine and hides the electrics.
