alto gearbox upgrade
this year when i was back in the UK i had a problem with my
alto gearbox clutch slip when it changed up in high ratio i know 
(i didn't know alto had a clutch)
apparently they have a fue i could drive around it by changing gear manually
before i left for the winter i was lucky enough to meet the boss of
Sussex alto transmissions who took it for a test drive and diagnosed the problem
and told me to leave it with him he also asked me do you want it STD or we can
fit upgraded clutches for you I SAID YES PLEASE 
SO today my mechanic
called me all done and said TOTALY SUCCESSFUL
has anyone else played around doing this with there alto gearbox?

DOH! - obviously it's a necessary upgrade when you have to cope with extremes of altitude as frequently experienced driving between Eastbourne and Brighton.

i think its more 200k on the clock extra power bigger wheels and towing a 2 axle
caravan for about 50k of that
but i put it down to my BLOODY WIFE who will not leave a campsite
without 100lts of extra water in the back of the G for a shower
It used to be a tenor gearbox till it's voice broke, when it's balls get tight it'll become a castralto...
