I would like to buy this car and have been researching it on-line.

Based abroad at the moment, I would have to bid unseen

I  really don’t want to make an expensive BIG mistake

Attached  is the auction catalogue for it and the all the info

I have managed to get so far.

Really would appreciate anyone’s help with this

Re: Anyone in Norfolk willing to look at a G for me

Try dropping Norfolk66 (Tim) a PM or possibly Roly and see if they can pop out and take a look?

at the pricing that is listed it is at the top end of the market and for that I would want to see all the manuals, servicing record and substantiated mileage. To me it looks as if it has had a re-spray and work done on the rear petrol quarter, as these are the points that generally rust off first. Please also consider checking the underside and if the fluids in the diffs have been topped up and changed. If they try and con you that the mileage is original, as has been pointed out - unless it has the paperwork to support it, for a G this age consider adding at least 100K on what you see.

It's a lovely vehicle and has all the seat points under the carpet, so a quick look on flea-bay you maybe lucky to get the parts to make it into a nice little convertible. Strange that they have not had a picture of the engine. Watch out for both G fever and auction fever and best of luck!
