Re: Armrests w460

It is possible to arm rests to W460 or W463's. Original M/Benz ones are extremely expensive if at availble alternatively Land Rover arm rests acould be retro fitted although much slimmer than M/Benz types.

Thanks do the original armrests bolt onto the seat frame? I have been looking at pic with armrests on seats and they look like they go into the side of the seat!  I maybe completely wrong

Re: Armrests w460

On my 1994 W463 they bolted to the seat frame.

I have a pair I no longer need.

The passenger (L/H) side is fine, the drivers side is broken.

There is some gubbins in the arm rest pad that is u/s. The mechanism that moves the pad up and down is broken.

I think you may be able to buy the parts to repair it though.

I ended up buying a "reconditioned" pair from Lithuania at no small cost!  There were as good as new though.

Here's some pictures of the armrests

The passenger side is good.  The fabric is Ok too.

The drivers side is damaged as you can see, the bracket is there though.  Not sure what armrest internals you will need.

The previous owner glued the armrest to the seat when the mechanism failed!

Let me know if you want more info
