Hi all.

Just acquired a set of 18x9 Borbet alloys for my 93' 463 SWB.

Just wondering which size of tyres people recommended. The vehicle us used on road 98% of the time.

Thanks

Re: Best Size Tyre for 18x9 Alloy

This vehicle would have had 265 / 70 R16 as 'standard' wide wheels.

you can use a tire-size calculator to find a suitable equivalent rolling diameter for your 18" wheels (+/- a few %)

The standard wheels tend to be 7.5" wide with the 265 width tyres, and AMG wheels are 9.5" wide with 285 tyres.

So, with 9" wheels, you may want 275 tyre width

You also need to ensure that the size you end-up with is generally available.

so, try

275 / 60 R18

or

265 / 60 R18
