Central locking not working

i have a issue with the ctr locking on my 1987 w460 280ge, some times it worked on the key but more often it would lock / unlock once driving along, at the moment all the units are removed from the (5) doors  but have been told they part run on air ??.

could anyone help with a ideas or diagrams on where to start working on problem

Do a search here and there is quite a bit on G Central locking.

There are electrical circuit diagrams, because the Gs are electric, unlike some other 80s MBs

I have the same intermittent working central locking on my '89 460.   I think/assume it is an earthing issue on my locking actuators.

hi thanks for the info will have a look tonight on the locking problem.. on the marketing goodies is it just availble at the meets or will there be a list you could buy off on line (think still got copy of old catologe)

also got some pics of my G going through refurb the last year if instrested ??

The galleries on this old site are frankly not good, and hard to use/create.  Just start a Forum topic, say in G-Chat, about your re-furb, and post/upload a few pictures in the post.  Individual or multiple.

We're getting new merchandise. some as goodies for members, and others (maybe) to order.  Managing stock of merchandise is not easy as you end up with unsold, damaged, returned, unwanted stuff!  But when we find some worthwhile items we will do it.
