Damn sounds very very fun. Not sure if my wife would be happy if I deserted her for three weeks though....

Its the 8 month old that tells me no... though I did try and jokingly suggest it. But last time I took off for the High Arctic for a month things did not go so smooth. ...and only because she didn't get to come and have fun.

But do tell me if you ever do a trip with other Gs so that she won't be left out....

That sounds familiar to me. For a while I have managed to attend some GWOA events without the wife on tow....while she would stay home with the baby. But now the boy is approaching two years and becoming civilised and as a result I have to take her with me again.

As a result, we arrived in Beaulieu with two cars, four children and even my brother....

To be honest with you though I don't mind as she's always up for a bit of adventure. The problem with me going to the Sahara would be that she really wants to do that trip as well. Besides I want to break the little one in to some adventure travelling while she is still young. I've already had her in the arctic in the dead of winter at 6 weeks old (though admittedly she never slept outside)- the Sahara seems like a good next step.

Sorry I missed you at Beaulieu. Hopefully we'll see you at the next event.

If everything goes according to plan, a Sahara trip will be my holiday for next year. http://www.saharatravel.co.uk certainly looks interesting.
