Dog ate my rubber!!
Hi One and All
Having cleaned my undamaged original front carpet set, I left the two pieces out to dry (it takes an age to dry out the rubber backing...)
Apparently, Labradors really like that stuff as my dog has chewed through most of the driver's side backing :-(
Can anyone here help me find a new original carpet with thick rubber backing please?
Car is a '93 RHD SWB

'new' and 'original' might be a challenge.
You could try any of the G dealers (here and elsewhere) for a second hand set. But not aware how you would get new.
Also a bit confused whether you mean the whole carpet, or just over mats?

Planning to try main dealer on Saturday, just in case, and keeping an eye open on eBay...
Not the overmats, but the original floor carpets have an amazingly deep, solid and sculpted rubber backing. This is what my dog has scraped and chewed off. She had plenty of time a did a thorough job!
Only the driver's side (RHD) carpet was 're-modelled'. Ideally, I would find a replacement for this only but may have to buy a set?
The car is generally in really good order and I want to keep it a long time, so it's probably worth looking out for the correct replacement.
