Fuel Injectors - Petrol 230GE 5 SPEED
Assuming the injectors on my G are original (27 years old and about 200K + miles) would there be any benefits to replacing them with new ones.
Car starts instantly and runs fine but as always I am looking for more power and economy!
Any advise on how to improve the engine would be appreciated (unfortunately cant afford a 606 transplant)
Who need a 606 when you drive a 230
Brabus offered a 2.6 l engine on the basis of the 230GE (460), delivered 155HP/ 260NM; the main change was an increased stroke; the tuners often used parts from other Mercedes engines, could be an interesting research exercise.
Found this link on another forum but it seems that it was on a 463 http://www.benzworld.org/forums/g-class/1169802-1988-brabus.html seems that Jesus would have the answer !!
was available for the 460 and 463, the test from April 1990 can be bought on e-bay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Autozeitung-04-1990-Mehrleistung-Mercedes-230-...

Well done , Very interesting
I think the use of Nitros injection is illegal here but that is one way to increase power when you need it as it is not a full time system.
