Looks nice in the ad:- https://www.samuellloydcars.com/inventory/#/new-gallery-1/
Hi New member here so go easy on me. I saw this car today. Does anyone here know this car? I think it's a nice car however it seems to need a new exhaust or back box at least and there is water in the passenger footwell (although no corrosion) which seems be coming through the wiper area ( apologies for my lack of technical jargon). There is some corrosion on the inside of the boot door and a little on the rear roof lip plus underneath/ behind the rear bumper and on the inside bonnet edge ( visible only with bonnet up) Doesn't seem to be any anywhere else other than scratches ( some quite large) around the bodywork in general. I think it needs wax oiling underneath too. It seems to have never been wax oiled. If I was being fussy I'd also replace the carpet mats ( are these available?) and treat the leather seats. It drove well with no untoward noises. I'm sure I'd need to spend some money initially as with all old cars - I guess I'm trying to get an idea of what I would need to spend. I'm sure there would be other as yet unnoticed things I'd need to get sorted too. Any advice would be welcome.
Can't see from the pictures but any rust bubbles around the windscreen area? The LHD land rover looks right at the top of money?

The problems you have correctly identified are all fairly typical issues for an older 463 especially the leaking wiper spindles, worth checking the nearside rear suspension turret as these corrode and need either welding or replacing, was the car built in 1999 is another question worth asking. This would date it to before they became a fashion accessory and Mercedes had problems selling them, my car wears a K plate being 1st sold in March of 1993 but it was built in October 1991 so should have been a J.
Thanks. Are the turrets an expensive job?
Not on a motor costing over £35k, shock mount, 45ish, turret 100ish, plus, welding, depends on who you know
Also tank straps probably on last legs?
