G500 SWB
Looks lovely and very rare - but that's an awful lot of money.
And, would you have to pay taxes on top of that to bring it into the UK mainland?

Very nice indeed.
I think generally prices are going up for all models. Around where I live, for many years there was just me an another guy in the neighbourhood.. Now there are several - new ones (G350 CDi, G63AMg etc). So, popularity seems to be increasing and this must inevitably also push up prices of used ones.
The monster engined G Wagens to me are ridiculous, you don't need such power in a high brick shaped vehicle that can't corner, these trucks were designed for a purpose and it wasn't to go fast
That' s true. (I really love my old W460, 300GD.)
They require too many compromises making the suspension uncomfortable and at the same time killing off any off-road ability. If you want a fast and comfortable Mercedes, get an AMG saloon. It will be cheaper, too.
All the army ones are/were 240GDs and they do all right, even in the Alps.
Thats the g wagon of my dreams
My favorite colour
Favorite engine
Short wheel base
Just the ticket but at that price i would buy a new lwb with the extras
Was that Aero94's old truck?
I know they are rare, but at that price? I disagree with PRW comment on why the large engine? Found my 500 was enough power, with the coopers on, would corner better than most - the only issue was the MPG.
The SWB RHD 1998 convertible is still up for sale, a bargain at £120K ! - Makes JK's G63 he is selling a bargain at £94K.
Spider1V
Ah, how the other half live?
Those that describe £94k and £120k motor vehicles as bargains
