A G700 BRABUS BEAST !!!!
5.4 million Czech Crowns, or £156,722.27
That sounds cheap ? i've seen these at 250k !
I'd want the steering wheel on the right side for that lump of pie n' mash though ! (or maybe i could move to spain )
Yes, off-roading is not all about HP.
(Either those brake-discs are extremely small or those wheel are extremely large.)
If you like your off-roading they are also selling one of these for similar money........

you might manage as well and not care about the damage in one of these

not sure about the end user certificate though
The 4x4x2 with portals in white is a nice concept .. but why the twin spring setup? The front seems to have about 2" of stroke and the rear maybe 3". I know diff's mean you can run stiffer springs.. but that is silly stiff.. maybe it is to stop it rolling over so quickly. Did see a kitted out orange LR 110 on portal kit last night on the way home..

There are a few civilian spec HMV's on that website that don't require an end user certificate. The starting price is the equivalent of £10,000 which is pretty cheap compared to what they sell for in the UK.

One of the spring/damper struts is set up with a conventional fixed setting and the other one has the settings adjustable from the cab. Apparently this allows a greater inclination of the kingpin and so provides a greater range from comfort to sport. ??? I won't pretend I know what that means .
I wonder how much Mercedes would sell a set of Portal axles for. That would be an interesting conversion for someone with an older G55 that wanted the ability of a 4x4 squared G Wagon for a fraction of the price of a new one.
and I guess what the manufacturers charged the US Government for a military version too
Someone in US was quoting $65k for axles, brakes, wheels and arches all fitted in LA on Benzworld. I did have a link but the ads on that site lock your PC up!
MB bought the axle design from someone in Europe (Holland?) and closed down that supply.. but I think there are others making bolt on kits but without the extra strut they fit under the portal i.e. more of a bolt on.
For the king pin axis I presume they are talking about tilting the tyre in at the top i.e. camber. This allows the tyre to stay squarer to the road as the car rolls. The smaller diameter springs allow them space to tilt the top of the tyre.

55,000 military versions delivered under the original $1.2bn contract = $220,000 each.
Remarkably little fording depth on the civilian and subsequent H2 and H3 'Hummers' compared to G.
H2 and H3 are just F150 pickup trucks with a silly cab on top. Not any more off-road ability.. just the bigger hooks to pull you out already fitted!
I prefer the look of the standard G63 and at least it retains some off-road capability.
I was referencing the Military Hummer the H1 which is very wide, ladder framed coil sprung and diesel engined, I made no reference to the cart sprung junk the H2 nor its H3 brother. Doug was referencing the civvi versions of the H1. I've not driven an H1 but my nephew has whilst serving in Afghan and separately in Norway; he has also driven my G-wagen. He liked both but thought the G was more practical but only because of the H1s width, he also said it is despite its size very cramped in the Hummer

I am not sure you are right about the H1 Hummers fording ability being poor in comparison to the G Wagon.
On the website you have provided the link for, the fording depth is given as 762mm for the H1. The new G Class is rated at 600mm and the earlier models between 450 and 500mm.
Surprisingly given the width of the H1 it is not as stable as the G Wagon. The H1 has a maximum climb grade of 60 degrees with a side slope or tip angle of 40 degrees. The G Wagon can climb 80 degrees and has a side slope angle of 54 degrees.
As others have mentioned the H1 is incredibly cramped inside due to the massive transmission tunnel and low roof line. I went through a phase of really wanting a H1 but was very disappointed when I eventually drove one. With only 190bhp and weighing 3.5 tons progress is slow and this is not helped by having only a three speed auto. For such a large vehicle it only has seating for four and the boot floor is very high leaving minimal room to carry anything. The G Wagon is a much more usable and practical vehicle for everyday use.
Having said that I wouldn't say no to this one
a lot of car for your money
BUT
There is a difference between a mall-crawler and a off-road vehicle!
