does anyone know if the steering arms/bottom king pins on a swb 300gd are the same as those on a lwb 300 gd,roughly the same vintage,'82 versus '83.I hope so.
The no.s on both seem similar, but they do'nt register with what my epc says or with the mb price list, that links from clubgwagen.
A friend told me to be careful, regarding Ackerman angles and things like that.

king pin steering arms

I am pretty, pretty sure that they are. I thought that everything the springs downwards has to be excact between a SWB and a LWB provided that they have the same engine/gearbox configuration. I never heard anything to the contrary.

But obviously, in this, like in any other thing, I stand to be corrected.

thanks Jesus

The swb axle is on my lwb now anyway,so I hope you are right. To the best of my measuring abilities they appear the same,so I am pretty confident. It s just that it seems to contradict this mr. Ackerman. My next problem is on the drivetrain part of the forum, can you help.
