Love being back in SA. While replacing the engine the whole G is getting some TLC. Rebuiliding front caliper, new pads, skim discs, £110 for parts & labour.

Re: Labour in SA

Let's just say I prefer to use A/T tyres rather than M/T's. Had the 7mm elements fitted today, and pump calibrated, £120.

Re: Labour in SA

Do you have the pump fitted yet with 7mm elements?

If so, how does it go?

Re: Labour in SA

I got the 7's with my Myna pump. The quality is good, but because te technician is curios I'm getting at cost. I'm not sure what he is calibrating it to, but He has spend a lot of time online.

Re: Labour in SA

thank goodness ! so the elements are made by myna diesel ? i was worried that you had been sold some of the bosch 7mm elements that are for the ford transit pump /as they are not good for a smooth running engine . there are also some really rubbish chinese copies and they are just plain rubbish.

leeu you can get 200 bhp easy with the 6mm factory elements  / just a thought or are you going to get tempted to go large again!

  nice to see you back.

Re: Labour in SA

Thanks Axel.

I would love to say I will be going big yet again, but I will pick up some serious admin issues with the domestic party. The car is now my wife's daily driver, so I am now going for reliability. I got myself a V8 diesel double cab Land Cruiser Pick-up, but hated it, so I have to drive the Subaru Outback I bought a month ago for my wife, but she hates.

My own toy is a stock standard Isuzu 250 4x4, and the amazing thing is that it goes everywhere I need to or want to go. I tow my 4x4 caravan with it, it even copes wit my 28ft motorboat.

(I did however keep all the bits and pieces from all my engines, and lwb pick-ups  are about £6-7k over here. All I need now is a good hearted soul in the UK to send me a OM603 IP. Watch this space!)
