My tow light is always on. Anybody have any suggestions as to what it might be?

What do you mean by towlight. If it what i think it is it may just mean you need to clean and WD40 the towing electric socket they tend to get water and dirt in them sometimes fusing or connecting electrics

Sorry Max but I can't identify that tow light. The closest That I can find in the 463 user's manual is the "Trailer turn signal". Can you be more specific?

I think that would be it actually. The two opposite facing arrows on the bottom right next to the glow plug light.

Will try the WD40 today.

Cheers

It is green and it is just always on. Though the previous owner (guerdeval) told me that when he had a trailer hooked up it would blink.

Thanks.

Manual says...

...that "If a turn signalon the vehicle or on a trailer should fail, the flashing and the click of the turn signal indicator will be more rapid than normal. The trailer turn signal lamp will also cease to light up."

The only thing that ocurs to me is that you check all the signal lights 'cause some might be failing making the indicator to light up.

Good luck

Hello Max, when I owned it I towed a trailer once and purchased a continental to UK cable as your car has the 13pin German set up, it worked fine and my mechanic seemed to think it was maybe a wire in the 13pin plug loose/touching but he wasn't familiar with the wiring set up to mess, however, if you go back a couple of issues og Gwizz I recall there is a wiring diagram in the back with how to swop it to 2 UK type plugs, if you have no luck I keep all old copies and I will send it up to you, rog
