My G's big brother
Here's the 460's big brother.
It's a Mercedes Vario 814DA panel van which started life with the Dutch fire service. It was converted by Adventure Trucks of Holland into a comfortable, 2 person, expedition camper. At 6.3 m length (excluding bike rack) and 2.95 hight, it's not too big for small towns. I'm just starting to put a plan together for next years trip.
Thats nice. Whats the economy like on something like that? 25mpg?

nice truck and nicely fitted out too, a firm called Bing made Ambulance versions of the w460 but these are long in the tooth today

It averages out to 20mpg. I'm happy with that. It is after all a 7.5 t truck with a 4.2 TD engine. A few pictures, hopefully attached, of the interior. They aren't that great but hopefully give an idea of the internal space.
