I wanted to do this 10 yrs ago when I bought my ml but didn't have the funds. So I will have some money around September. I've been looking for the last year but struggle to find newer generation RHD g wagon. I hear of people saying import is a good option? I'm wanting 463. Lwb. Diesel. Auto. Thought I would introduce myself - If I need to post in a separate topic then please advise? Got loads of questions Thanks shaun

Hi Shaun

You will find all the info you need on here and welcome aboard

I was also BMW but now i just like messing with mercedes. Many projects too

Mercedes build and design but BMW rustproofing and chassis would be nice

Mercedes a lot of things will work from other mercedes. BMW will not interchange so easily

Mercedes dont have BMW anti corrosion qualities but i choose Mercedes for easy conversions

If only we could combine both

Thanks for the welcome. I will post in another topic and see where I get. I love Mercedes however " lately " I have to agree with the rust. Both my vito and ml suffer. Ml has had it removed etc. Looking forward to hopefully getting a g wagon this year Shaun

w463's are much better for rust than the w460's and much better than all other full sized 4x4's inc LR and Japanese offerings

Thanks. Yes I like the comfort that comes with the 463 especially for motorway and family. Just find it hard to find rhd versions?

Hi, on the LHD/RHD thing, I was looking at selling my G here in Dubai and buy a RHD one here in UK, but the price gap is so wide that I'd rather live with LHD and a car I know well and have looked after.

I think the only time you'd struggle with LHD here is with car park barriers where the booth is on the right side.

I'm just buying one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HAND-HELD-GRABBER-PICK-UP-GRIPPER-EASY-REACH-REACHING-TOOL-LITTER-PICKER-PICKING-/310951699112

As for motorway comfort, the G is quite comfortable at legal speeds, especially the Non AMG Versions.

Thanks for the reply. Need a Rhd. We have a 3 yr old. And my wife will be driving it daily. She has never driven a lhd. Also car parks etc.
