This is a G Wagen only event.
(No off-roading for other vehicles)
Come and meet other G Wagen Owners.
Ideal opportunity  to come and ask questions and get advice if you're thinking of buying a G

There will be a barbeque and some light off-roading.

I though I knew Ashworth Road as its local, but which one is Standlees farm please ?

Oh and Ashworth road is still closed from Bury and Rochdale Old road way,

Yeah Ashworth road is still closed from bury Rochdale old Road end due to the landslide. You need to turn on from the A680 edenfield road. I'm very close to that end of Ashworth road anyway just a couple of hundred meters down. Just past the reservoir and turn right at the electricity pylon. The garden is mowed and ready for some serious BBQ action and if the weather is half as good as we have had this weekend it will be perfect. All that's missing is some more people to put their name down. I'll try gettin some pictures of the land up. I'm quite looking forward to showing some g wagens around.

Planning to get there - need to run family 'taxi' to Leeds by 9am so all seems like a plan. From the map can you also access via Deeply Vale Lane? Or is this part of the treat for later, so best approach on A680? 

Right, replacement rear spring has arrived, just to fit. Suspect broke whist having rear door hinge repaired/welded at garage but I failed to notice until a general inspection when enjoying the sunshine last weekend - corrosion is  chomping away across car (live on bus route that is gritted all winter) so preservation (restoration) is getting critical. Looking forward to some advice!

Quick reminder for weekend guys. Hope a few of you can make it. The weather has been very kind to us here recently. Nice and dry so perfect conditions for a little tour of the land. Also I have my own project g that I'm hesitant to tear into so would be nice for some advice from some people in the know. It might be something to do with watchin the suv super build programe as I write this but I am feeling very proud to be a g wagen owner at the moment and am feeling some motivation to get moving on the project g. As for access to the farm yes it has to be onto Ashworth road off a680. Deeply Vale can certainly be a treat for later on. Hope to see you all Sunday.

Thanks you to Gordon and Dennis for arranging / hosting this, just wished I could have got out of family responsibilities and stayed longer.

Thought It was good to meet other members for a brief chat, It certainly was a memorable couple of hours, and was again surprised by the steepness of one of the hills and ease that a G goes up them ! Though if it has been been wet I guess it would have been different.
