Many, many congratulations and thanks to the dougthy team currently working hard to raise the phoenix of GWOA  from the cooling ashes.

As so many are aware, there is a vast fund of knowledge therein which has helped many over many years. Let us hope that the (very few) puerile fools who have abused GWOA in the past keep well clear henceforth.

The G-Wagen Register (most of us delight in that site too) is another brilliantly enthusiastic, welcoming and knowedgeable site... with no membership fees...

Because no one has been in touch asking for me for £25 I have not been able to pay GWOA  subs for a year or so - although I am still able to access GWOA members' areas. I don't mind coughing up roughly the equivalent of an eighty mile drive to help keep things going so that this site can be maintained and developed for future users.

***   How should I do it now, please?   ***

Once again, many thanks and congratulations to those who are doing their best to rejuvenate GWOA.

All the best, Nick.

P.S.  That's a nice snap of G-Wagens gathered at Brooklands recently; what a lovely, friendly day that was.

Re: Phoenix

Thanks Nick.

It was great to see your motivational trip all the way from Mull to Brooklands also.  We are making great progress with restoring GWOA functions and as far as I can see the renewal and join up is working fine, and going to the right account it. Perhaps you can try via the: http://gwoa.co.uk/renew link on your login.

At the moment, there are only a few website features that are different for Members, compared to non members, but we will certainly be making sure Members are recognised and thanked.  Having a Owners Association, with an annual subscription, should be the differentiator and fund things others cannot.

Tx - john

Re: Phoenix

Based on this good news, I too have renewed!

May the phoenix continue to rise, spread its wings and share its knowledge...

Best wishes to all.

Re: Phoenix

Are BACS transfers possible as well?  I used to transfer to an account with Sort Code 30-91-48, ending on 7907.

Re: Phoenix

Hi Theo,

Yes BACs is getting to the right place also.  Its just not automated, but a manual process to set your annual 'Red Badge' up.  So CC is better (or with PayPal) but if you prefer BACs just let me know when done.

paid via BACS, membership number is mentioned;  tried PayPal but system asked for all kind of irrelevant information.

Thanks Theo.  Sorted.

With a bit more organisation, we'll get the membership funds working for us.
