What do you chaps (and ladies) think a realistic price for this is:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCEDES-G-WAGON-300-GD-GREY-1990-/201156895851

In spite of the description saying 'service history' none of this is documented; hence, what you see is what you get!

Advice appreciated on where the price should be.

Re: Price Advice?

No idea on price other than clearly the seller doesn't think what's been offered is enough.

You could try an APB on the MB Owners Board as I spotted a sticker......you might get more info.

Re: Price Advice?

Ian, the previous owner had it dry stored - my guess is any club ownership was a long time ago. The current owner doesn't seem to know a lot and his reserve is considerably above what I think it is worth. The fact the interior is tidy doesn't negate the fact that there is ZERO documented history and that the car has sat for 15 years doing nothing. Those two points are big negatives for me. It doesn't take a genius to know that the moment the G starts getting used regularly, all the issues from long term storage will start to surface.

I'm just interested to know what a 1990 300GD with no service history is worth. smiley

Those are big negatives. Honestly, I wouldn't risk more than £7k on such an unknown quantity.

Maybe I'm just mean!

That was exactly my thought but then I wondered if I was being mean! Hence the question.

I need to find a good SWB before I do something dumb like buy a Defender 90 to sit alongside the G350 wink
