Hi all,

my rear passenger coil spring has been broken for some time and has now corroded through the spring mount on the chassis, is there a repair patch for this or do i need a complete new mount?

Thanks

Hagar

I've had mine welded but there are replacement mounts available; this is a common problem but only on that side which is strange

Re: rear coil spring chassis mount

Passenger sides always run in the gutter so get wetter and more potholes.. Everything suspension/brakes wise wear quicker on the "gutter side" on every car..

Look at your axle mounts too.. I did them at the same time (and new springs).. The shock mount is not included in that part.. just the bit between the 2 tubes that holds the spring top.. and the shock mounts will likely need a tickle of weld while you are in there.

There have been a few posts on here about doing it with photos.. go search.
