Speedometer doesnt work, cable cut? / W 463 / GE230 Short / 1992
Hello hello.
My speedometer just stopped working. I suspect that the cable might be cut? There is a cable hanging down in the middle of the back shaft.
Anyone have experience with this problem?
It is most likely the speedo cable hanging down below the vehicle. Have a look at the end you will see the inner flexible speedo drive cable inside the casing. It needs to be replaced from the transfer box to the back of the speedo. You should see the other part of it sticking out of the bulkhead near the brake booster.
