Suspension problems?

With the option of going with bigger and heavier semi off road wheels, what is the ML suspension like, in terms of reliability?

Wishbones, Ball joints, Link Arms, Rack Ends, etc.?

Do they wear out often on standard cars or are they pretty heavy duty (relatively speaking) and coping fine?

My memory is not absolute in this case but the only relative weakness is the link rods even on standard versions. Other components are good enough.
