I have the sump off my 3L OM603 and have been told i'd be silly not to check the mains and big end bearings before i put it back together. Does anyone know the torque settings before i start messing.
No problems yet with oil pressure but I'm in the process of fitting a turbo, that could soon change. I've teed into the oil filter housing where the pressure sensor is so not sure what that will do to the pressure reading. Also just discovered that the pipes to the oil cooler have been disconnected and joined together so not sure if that is for a reason or just been forgotten when replacing the rad. It's on receipts I got with the vehicle that it had a re-cord rad so fingers crossed they just forgot to reconnect it. The fittings on the oil cooler haven't been blanked and no water is leaking out so I'm hoping it's not been disconnected For a leak or pressure reasons. I've taken the sump off while I drill and tap the oil return for the turbo. Was worrying about any bits of metal dropping into the sump.
