Hi All   Anybody know we're I can get an original toolkit & jack for my W460 from ?

The jack's a nice thing to have to "complete" a G Wagen.

I've never had the nerve to trust the weight of my G sitting on such a small footprint. I've never had a puncture but if I did I think I'd call someone out to help rather than take the risk.

But maybe someone on here can put my mind at rest and tell us that they have used the G jack and never had any sort of concern or problem.

I guess one solution would be to carry axle stands - but then you start loading the boot up with gear "just in case" rather than keeping it tidy or full of shopping.

I have used my jack a few times on the side of the road, though would be very awkward to use without the original tool kit as the extensions essential with the jack being under the axle.. A good wheelbrace helps also.

If you have an older car with the towing eye, removing it gives a great slot for a farm jack, otherwise a 2 ton trolley jack will lift any corner you might want to look at. I wouldn't trust the bottle jack either
