W461 300 CDI won't start P0087 and
Dear All,
My W461 300 CDI won't start on yesterday (Sunday) after running very well throughout Saturday.
Fuel guage is on reserve and the triangular light is on. I've added more diesel.
Symptoms:
When I turn the key, the engine will turn and as I let go of the key, the engine continues to turn for a few more seconds. However, the engine was not firing at any time when the starter motor was turning. There is a buzzing sound from the rear when turn the key to position 2 (before starting). The fuel pump at the back seems to be working.
DTC codes:
"P0087" and "0562" see attachments.
Anyone with the above experience? Any idea of the origin of the problem?

p0087 is fuel pressure low
p0562 is a low voltage battery
you need to prime fuel through fuel lines using in line fuel pump and maybe a bit of brake cleaner to get it going
simple task for any local garage

It turned out to be a matter of RTFM.
While I did not run the tank dry, the solution for "The engine will not start" worked. 6 seconds of continuous cranking started the engine. Thereafter, back to normal. I just had to turn the key and let go and the engine starts.
