Hi all, I am looking for a G500 ABS computer, if anyone has one available please email me at kiato4@yahoo.com. Part # is 025 545 37 32 (Bosch part # 0 265 108 046). Thanks.

It is very unlikely you will find one second hand. You may have beteer luck in having your current one repaired.

I know, I have been having quite bad luck searching.

I actually do not have a current one, I replaced my 1995 G320 rear axle with one from a 1999 G500 and I need the G500 computer to make my ABS work right with the new disk brakes.

Re: Wanted to buy: G500 ABS computer

I had a nice warm pudding for lunch to-day so my mind is as thick as the pudding; I don't quite follow.

Don't you have an ECU at all and if you do, yours is one for a G320?  I do not see why you need a G500 ECU for your ABS?

Are the rear ABS sensors the same for G320 and G500? If not just change the sensor to G320 if fittings allow.

If you have changed the rear axle off a G500, then what of the front axle, is that a G320's? If the axle ratios differ from front and rear the vehicle will have problems in driving and stability not to mention excessive forces on transfer box. Something in it will blow out.

More input please.

If you got the rear axle from a 99 G500, can you not get the abs from the same vehicle?

But if you still have the G320 axle on the front, how will either abs ecu work correctly?

Re: Wanted to buy: G500 ABS computer

Looks like I confused matters from my previous post, let me clarify...

I swapped in the G320 gear set into the G500 rear axle, so gears match from and rear. I used the factory 1999 G500 rear ABS rings and sensors, and left my G320 front ABS rings and sensors stock. After all, the G320 front rings and sensors are the same part # as the ones on the 1999 G500.

After all was said and done, ABS works fine except at slow speed stops where it engages every time for no reason, but braking from highway speeds is fine and it does not engage. My mechanic looked into it and said that I need this ABS computer because the new rear rings have a different circumference than the existing rings (though same # of holes/teeth), and it is causing the issue.

Hi

Theres an earlier part number that is maybe the one actually on the ECU's you will find second hand....

A020 545 47 32 (Bosch 0 265 108 032?) it is replaced by the A025 545 37 32 (Bosch 0 265 108 046) you mention....

Fitment... A020 545 47 32 and A025 545 37 32

463 series...

G300TD OM606

G320 M112

G500 M113

G55AMG M113

Fitment... A025 545 37 32 only

461 series...

290GDT OM602

Hope that helps

Did you remove any sensors at all? I suspect this is your problem. Had exactly same symptons on mine all due to one rear sensor not fitting flush enough and the remains of an O ring in the aperture.

Thanks for the second part #, much appreciated. Will search for that as well.

A Gwagen specialist shop tried everything including re-installing the rear sensors and the same problem persists, so unfortunately it is not just the sensor not fitting flush (though that would have been a nice solution!).

Have you found one yet?

How big and fat is the carrot at the end of the stick if I can find one for you?

Re: Wanted to buy: G500 ABS computer

The carrot has become very small! Turns out that this computer won't fit the wiring harness in my truck, and problem may in fact be due to a faulty sensor (even though it is new). I'll keep working on this and will revert back once solved.
