WANTED Mercedes G WAGEN W463 G300
Dear Members,
May I please ask for some help and advice as a new member.
I have read as much as I can about the G Wagen and driven a few, oh yes.
This is my personal requirements for the purchase of my next long term 4X4.
This would be my first G Wagon, but been driving 4x4’s since 1987.
Based in Kent and have a limited time for traveling too far.
I have seen a few, In the past few weeks . . . 380 miles just this weekend.
OMG some really bad examples, since when did ‘Excellent example, terrific example for the year’ translate to MOT failure, trashed interior, and only selling for a friend !!
No more viewing in muddy fields, no more missing paperwork or obvious lies, please. No more Bling, just straight, original and clean.
Do you have one for sale or know who has ?
I missed a great 1993 in Cumbria, I kicked myself for being so slow but the seller gave me such great advice, G Club member.

I've just added some poor quality photos to my ad. The G I have fs doesn't meet all of your criteria but its a good solid truck.
The photos don't do it justice- the paintwork is very good quality pro respray and the mechanical mods are excellent.

Hello members,
I have purchased a 1991 G463 300 GE Auto from a Mercedes specialist.
Full MB history , great condition and with AC, super clean interior and a great drive during the test.
Problem with central locking so dealer has to replace the Alarm and locking system before I pick it up.
I need to wait an extra week before picking up my first G Wagon, my Shogun went on Wednesday so a week without any vehicle, unheard of!

Glad you hear that found a nice one.
The dealer-fitted alarm systems, back in the day, were the 'MB Approved' Scorpion alarms. Many had back-up nicad battery packs internally and probably all that is required to revive it is to fit a new battery pack.

I have them both listed and the chap in Essex no longer has the Silver one, the Dealer/Restorer on London does not open at weekends.
Had a good long look at Mobile.de and they are very tempting.
Thanks Bruce, The LHD you mentioned on Ebay is a personal import from Japan, not sure about the spec on that one.
