Alternator part numbers

 Hi Guys,

Just wondered if anyone could let me know the part numbers for the alternator & regulator for a 1992 463 petrol
also the best place to buy in and around London area

hi this is an "over the counter" exchange item with Mercedes Benz or look in Yellow pages for overhaul worhshops in your area

 Hi Guys 

Just checked with Merc today and the cost of the Alternator is £539 +vat and the regulator is £51.50 the alternator is an exchange item and not in stock in the UK, Just wondered if this is my only option as £700 + fitting seems costly, just wondered if anyone has used another cheaper source for supply

Far to expensive take it to your local alternator repair shop......(see yellow pages or  Internet)

 Thanks Fixwin i will take it to the repair shop, is it easy to remove or do i need to take it to a garage to remove it?

Just bolts  obvious ones but also underneath!  and an electrical connector......the voltage regulator can be changed in situ ...............

 Not sure on the servicing - however if you call and speak to Brooklands Services, they should be able to pass on the Mercedes 6 discount (I think its 20% off parts). They will also be able to get hold of any part you want within 24hrs. All genuine MB parts and if you get them fitted you will also get the 2 year warranty for parts and labor.
