Brake Master Cylinder
Hi all, Hubby and I plus our mechanic friend are all tearing our hair out, our G failed MoT 2 weeks ago, it needs a new Brake Master cylinder and do you think we can find one????NO! we contacted Mercedes who contacted Germany, the part was sent......wrong part. so tried again.....twice......still no luck, we have contacted a place in Reading which sounded promising but they haven't got back to us, part of the problem seems to be that our G is right hand drive. Any suggestions where else we could try? I would be really grateful. Many thanks.

.the part number is BMC 4891 cost GBP 165.53 + vat (for a 300GD model 460)
Didn't realise they were open this morning, our mechanic friend just phoned and they can't help either sadly, Mercedes have said that They can ship another part from Germany, however if it turns out to be wrong they won't accept a return and that would be £300 down the chute! Haven't a clue what to do now.
Hi the master cyliner for the 230 ge is the same as the 300gd only difference is RHD or LHD as the fittings for the pipes ae on opposite sides the part number I gave you is in stock at the price indicated from Brakes International
