Bump Stop Height SWB

If anyone has a SWB with good springs on the back, definately not HD please.

What is the height between bottom of bump stop ( Helper Spring in MB terminolgy) and spring cup on axle? Mine is 463 but can't see why a 460 would be any different?

Sure mine looks down, but springs not broken or old!

Hi Jason My 1985 swb 300GD used to look squatted down at the back, and had new springs and shocks on as per the vin number. Finally got this tracked down to having a factory fitted 'soft' spring. Not sure about the actual measurement as mine had a complete new set of Ironman shocks and springs front and back which gave it a lift, however before I did the lift the height from the tyre to the wheel arch lip and the front had 6 1/2 inches and the back 4 inches - most people felt they should be the same and be about 5 inches. Not sure if that helps you or not, but if it looks lower at the back, then you might have lower rated, or tired springs on. Having lower rated springs on mine also gave all sorts of 'entertaining' handling traits! Ta Simon

Best I can do is, vehicle body height is: 191cm (75.2 inches).

Hi Simon,

Where did you get your Iron Man kit from?

Expensive? Are you happy with the ride?

Never seen this brand offered for G, Toyota a lot though.

Ref my PM. here are pictures pre (poor as the G is on an angle, but I don't take a lot of pics of it) and post the suspension - springs & shocks front and back.

I think I have these springs on my G. Came from Poland. They are stronger than standard to match how my car left the factory. Stronger by one degree I think. Mine are on the front and make it slighlty taller, but not too much to notice. Now painted black!
