Buying a G stored for 9 years
Hi All,
I am after a G wagon and have come accross one for sale on Ebay which has been stored in a garage for 9 years. What are the pros and cons of buying a G that has been stored for that long. Also what would you think would be a realistic price for this G please.
Any advice appreciated.

Well presented, for a restored vehicle, it seems cheap but as a standard vehicle it is reasonable.
Regarding my view on restored vehicles (forum saying, oh, there he goes again - Duck!) I willl draft one and post it a little latter after putting my thoughts to the topic.
Cars need to be used as a rule of thumb so much can go wrong, from sludge in the fuel to siezed brakes and half a hundred other things too. I would try to take someone knowledgeable in w460s and get them to do a thorough inspection.
I would agree with PRW. On the surface looks a great truck, but the problem with 'Barn Finds' like this are exactly what PRW has commented. I would also check the bearings on the wheels as , if it has been standing for a long time the weight of the truck may have , over time, made them less round and more oval, which, as you start driving will cause even more damage!
