Door Handles
Hi all,
Just bought an w463 350 TDI from 1994 and got some problem with the door handle om the right side. It seems that I need to replace it. I have been looking om ebay and found this one:
Can you please tell me if it fits to my car? or maybe give me advise where I can buy one?

i bought a full set of three for my swb 460 from these people , they fitted fine , cannot say they will fit a 463 but for the price its got to be worth a try.

Generally speaking, the G-Wagen door handle are quite good and rarely require replacement. They do suffer from the adjusting screw on the striker becoming loose and after some re-adjustment become good.
The second weakness is rust corrosion of the door handles mounting. You have not mentioned why your door handles need replacing, please elaborate of its fault, it could be this could be repaired.
Would you PM, me your chassis number and I can try to verify if, the G350TD handle is the same. Some handles are different on the latter W463's.

I bought a cheap handle/lock from ebay (they fit sprinter vans etc).. ended up throwing most of it away!
Reason for buying it was that my lock barrel end cover (the stainless steel round plate you put the key through on the end of the button) had been messed with me before I learn how to rebuild them and also the button had corroded. I harvested the button, carried over lock internals and kept the rest original.
They sort of fit.. but are not as well made as MB originals from 1988.

I have checked for part numbers of door handles with key barrel and without; the part numbers are the same for a 350GDT and 300GE. So the ebay part will fit your vehicle.
