Eezibleed Kit
Anybody tried the Gunson Eezibleed Kit
does it fit the 460?
any hints on bleeding the brakes?
THX
Ezi bleed if it still has all the adaptors fits and works although last time i used one i up-ed the Pa to 15PSI.
I have recently rebuilt front and rears and both where a pain to bleed and the rears a pain to set. There must be some tricks but i did them a couple of times before i was happy.
For the rears to set the HB do it on a hill so you roll backwards and this sets the mechanism as on the flat i couldn' get it set.
I have used the eezibleed for years on many different vehicles and always found it to be excellent, especially when you need to bleed the brakes single handed.
The most important thing to remember is to check that the tyre you are using to pressurise the system does not have more than the recommended 20psi. I once connected it to a front tyre for convenience and found that 35psi led to a fairly dramatic shower of brake fluid from the cap connecting it to the brake reservoir.
I know it fits my 463 but I don't know about the 460. It does however come with a pretty comprehensive array of fittings for the various different brake reservoirs.
The instructions in the eezibleed kit give a very clear guide on how to go about bleeding the brakes. The most common problem is that the bleed nipples are rusted which makes it easy to snap one off when trying to open them.
I agree with Bigblock. I have been using the Eezibleed in my G for years now and find it excellent. But darn right too: stick to the recommended pressure of it becomes useless.
