463 Exhaust downpipe removal
Does anyone have any experience or removing the exhaust downpipe of a 463 Diesel?
What else needs to be removed?
Have a tiny split that needs welding but looks impossible with the exhaust in situ.
New downpipe , over £220 I think.
I believe that you just need to undo it from the two exhaust manifolds and from the first silencer box..... and presto!
But it's too bloody late at night now to crawl underneath the car to investigate!
The downpipes have no attachment to the chassis. They are just held by the exhaust manifolds and the first muffler.

It just looks so tight! Exhaust specialist? reckoned the manifolds would have to come off, though I suspect he was thinking of his hourly rate!
