Give it some welly
Not sure if this has been posted before. Expensive mistake!
Its not that he turned a full 360 flip, but he also hit hs mates car!

OUCH indeed!
Several factors here, too fast and incline over 84% ? Don't think he would have a mate left now.
He has not quite understood the saying in 4X4 circles "Go as fast as you need to, and as slow as you can", or something to that effect.
That manoeuvre is know round these parts as a "spider flip" and is usually performed by V8 drivers....
It's the extra weight of the wood and leather that tips them over....
HeHe
Actually the V8, Wood , leather, aircon, does weigh it down, so LESS likley.... more like the Yorkshire tumble?

Wow! I'm very impressed how well the Cab has held up. Certainly saved him from serious injury
If that had been the Jeep I wonder how well the Cab would have faired.
I thought that, but had I been the owner of the Jeep, I wouldn't have been too happy. As Rakesh said, it is unlikely he had any mates left after that! I personally would have cheerfully lynched him had the Jeep been mine
Obviously he didn't pay much attention in the physics class at school!
If you look at the clip you will notice as the G is going up hill, half way up there is a heaped pile of earth like a mound,
The G hits this at some speed making the truck boune bringing those front wheels up in the air as it gets closer to the top.
Because the guy has given it so much welley its fliped out.now if the thoses front tyes could have got traction at the top he would have cleared this easy but he didn't bless him....GAME OVER!
How's the head? LOL
When we were going up the incline (that no one else managed to make it up) at the AGM, that was one of the things I was worried about. But we managed to miss out on the 'Yorkshire Tumble' :)

How does the driver manage to get out and shut the door in the few seconds that it takes the photographer to run down the hill?
i rolled my SWB 280 on an off road event many moons ago, it rolled sideways about 4 times, and pretty much the same damage, the G front end is heavy so the weight concentrates itself on the front, it done the front wings and a little bit of the roof, the strength in its strucutre is excellent.
"How does the driver manage to get out and shut the door in the few seconds that it takes the photographer to run down the hill?"
His mates open the door and pull him out. you can just catch a glimpse of their feet and hear them opening it.
The driver who is in the white T-shirt has hurt his back as you can see him holding it and sitting on the ground at one point.
It probably hurt a lot more later once the adrenalin wore off. ouch.
