We live in South London. I'm (I'm the wife) on the constant look out for G's, even when we are just driving to Tesco. So far we've done well. There is a maroon coloured SWB usually parked near Morden Underground. Then there is, also maroon, a LWB parked outside a pub in the Mitcham area. We saw one G in Eastbourne a while back, that was the first time someone waved to us. We also saw a G in a car park in Woolwich one Sunday, and the owner waved to us on our way out. I saw a green SWB in Oxford Street one night after work, I waved to the driver, but I suppose you have to be driving in one the get a wave back? Then last Sunday was our lucky night, we passed one on Putney Bridge on our way to Heathrow, and on our way back a black LWB G stopped next to us at a traffic light (I saw that same one parked on Inner Park Road in Wimbledon before). And then we saw two G's in Prague the other day.

We have a Beige, 300GD LWB. We bought the car to do an Africa Overland, probably in two years time. We are taking the G to South Africa, she will probably be much happier there.

Am I the only lady enthusiast? And are we the only young members, we are 24.

We, the jolly bunch of old farts, welcome you to the GWagen brotherhood.

By the way, my wife is another lady enthusiast -she is the one normally driving the G- I am out there to take care of the service, repairs and washing and hoovering.

Are you joining in this weekend's meet up?:

Also, check our fellow enthusiasts in South Africa.

Welcome aboard Yolandi,

I guess the forum is too "Anorak" for many woman, but it seems that most of the Gs I see driven around London are by women.

We too are planning an Overland for a few years time, but we are hoping to head east.

Hope you enjoy it.
