Hi from sweden  im a scotsman living and working in southern sweden new to g-wagon ownership but not to 4x4s and offroading ive had everything from landys to diahatsus 4tracks subaru pickups rangeys  suzukis infact just about eveything at some point  I even had a dacia duster about 25 years ago it was crap . I compete in challenge and trial events here and im looking to go into eurotrial for next season depending on budget (what I can hide from the misses to stop her spending it on house etc) I swapped my challenge prepared suzuki sj ,front rear winches external cage, arb lockers front and rear  etc ,for 3 g-wagons two are in working order but need some tlc and the other is pretty rotten so ill be using it for spares to keep the other two running all are short wheel base the one im using /fixing as I go along is a 1980 230 g convertible 4 cly petrol although im looking to put a diesel into it anyway im probably boring everyone so ill sign off here cheers and all the best to everyone for 2011 , don p.s. ive added a couple of pictures if they work of 2 of the g-wagons and the suzuki I swapped them for

Re: Hi from snowy sweden

heres some of the snow we had and still have  the first one is our bedroom window normally head height outside and other ones are around the house and on the main road after they cut their way through with big loadres we were stuck in the house for 3 days had to go in and out the windows as it kept drifting after you cleared it so we gave up

wifes cousin lives over the water from you in Bornholm we have had similar photos from them...we have no idea what real snow is in Britain. Keep us posted on your labours, there are not that many early g-wagens left. I have insereted a photo of a younger rusted gd300 not far from me

Welcome and Hi. Like the idea of having 2 G and one for spares! Does the Swedish army not use G's or a derivative?
