Do i just go to a body / paint shop or can i buy from mercedes or paint mixer if i choose to do paint job myself
Its gotta be perfect and from past experience ive body shops arent great at colour matches
Any advice welcome.

Re: paint code

One paintcode can have several different shade, even at that when the colour is made right the shade can still be off as the paint manufacturer might not have it spot on for several reasons. The way of getting the paint right is to do a spray out card with the mixed paint and check it against the vehicle before spraying. If its out then it will need retinted probably by a professional colourist within a bodyshop or one of the painters familair with the brand of paint. This is a daily thing within a bodyshop and there will be someone who does this all day everyday.

You would think one paint code means one colour, but the reality is it just points you in the right direction!!
