My G failed MOT on worn front radius arm bush,(axle end ), rightly  so as bush looks kanckered.
Are these easy to replace, anything to watch out for when removing raidus arm? Does bush heed to be pressed in, using MB parts not poly bush?

The bushes are comparitively easy to replace, and Yes, you do need a press for them.

The Bushes are approximately just under £36.00 each, plus VAT; last time I checked, not very long ago.

There are poly bushes available, currently, but a search of them is underway.

Re: Radius Arm Bushes

Hi Jason
you can remove the bushes using a piece of  8/10mm threaded bar and two sockets one bigger than the bush to rest on the control arm and one slightly smaller than the bush... tighten the nut against the smaller socket and this will squeeze the bush out of the control arm ..when fittng the new bushes freeze them overnight .apply a smear of vaseline and use the tightening process in reverse to position the bush in tha arm  -- of course if you have access to a press the job can be done a lot quicker

Re: Radius Arm Bushes

Correction:
My thread should have read there are NO poly bushes available for the G-Wagen....
Sorry, I did not pick this up when proofing the thread.
