Re: restoration progressing

Hello nedvaughan,

Both colours are fine, although it should be for you to decide.  Any of the two colours show the dirt out quickly and further more, spraying it black would mean the interior will still show as white, an obvious give away the vehicle has been resprayed giving unnecessary suspicion to future buyers.

Being white, means the interior and exterior remains the consistent, true, it is still possible to know that, the vehicle has been sprayed.  But if it's an issue for future buyers, that should be their problem.

Not being of any help but it has some input.

Cheers,

Re: restoration progressing

White is easier to apply than Black.. black shows every dent .. had to care for a Disco in metallic black once (and the paint was actually really good) and never want to have a black car after that experiance. Had a couple of white cars (still have one) and they are easy to blend paint marks; of course they show the dirt. Black car is going to show every stone chip as it is white underneath..

Must admit I hate buying colour changes cars where it has not been done properly.. what else has the owner short cut on? So I would vote stay white or do it properly.. and properly means doors off, bonnet offf, windows out, most of front of engine out to get to the bulkhead.. big job. I resprayed mine but kept Silver colour.. and did a full monty but left front bulkhead and roof as they are such a pain.
