Seatlbelts - part number for 460

 I want to replace the two front seatbelts which look a little tired

EPC shows  A4608605985 aparently no longer available.   

A4608607185 from later 460s/461s looks like it will fit though - anyone know of any reason to think otherwise?

Hi

I dont get that number to your chassis?

I get as follows

RIGHT A460 860 53 85

LEFT A460 860 52 85

Will check stock and price when the MB system comes back up in a while......

A460 860 54 85 + A460 860 55 85 LWB These SS to A460 860 71 85

Why SWB and LWB are different, cant quite put my finger on....but sure its obvious!!!

 Thanks Gav :-) I got the previous part #s from Russian site so not sure where that went wrong.. I should really just pay for a subscription to MB!

Sorry, my MB link has been off over the weekend...

The SWB belts are No Longer Available

Only the A460 860 71 85 LWB belts are available in Germany.

Not sure if the LWB ones will fit, probably not.

We have belts altered for work, i.e. the belt webbing changed, usually the colour changed to Red or Yellow for H&S reasons.

The company we use is called Claytons (1908) Ltd in Sheffield 01142 724573

A good old fashioned trimming company that can do just about anything, good value and good service, turn around in about a week or so.

You can send them your old belts and the re web them and return, i think its usually circa £35 + vat per belt from memory, its around 9 months since we had any done.

 Thanks as usual Gav - the plastic trims etc on mine are pretty tatty so I'm keen to change the lot. What makes you think that the LWB fronts won't fit? I woudl have guessed that the front end on both vehicles was identical?

Hi Ben

Not sure why, just got that niggle in my ickle brain!!!!!

Maybe something to do with how the SWB front seats tilting to get access in to the rear seats that you dont have on a LWB?

Its that long since i had a LWB i cant picture it!!!

Maybe Consur can help as i believe he has one of each?

Somebody will be more informed i am sure....

Hi FCP,

I have front seat belts NOS that i brought from Germany, I was lead to believe these are for the 460 but i'm not sure the part numbers are as follows. I have the original receipts as well that i can scan if that's any good which i have taken the part numbers from

A8608585
A8608485

I am guess that they are as follows.....

A001 860 84 85 with a colour code of 9A86 BLACK, 7C15 GREY or 8E75 CREAM BEIGE

463 SERIES STATION WAGEN 2850MM 5 DOOR RIGHT REAR SEAT BENCH 3 POINT BELT

and

A001 860 85 85 with a colour code of 9A86 BLACK, 7C15 GREY or 8E75 CREAM BEIGE

463 SERIES STATION WAGEN 2850MM 5 DOOR LEFT REAR SEAT BENCH 3 POINT BELT

Looks like they are for G230 G250D G300D G300 G300TD G320 G36 G350TD G500 only
