Hi All, has anyone had any experience with deteriorated Transfer Case rubber mounts? Or are they pretty long lasting?

I have a 1988 G, no vibration issues, just an annoying 'drumming' sort of noise above about 60km/hr, quite loud really, enough to have to raise your voice significantly to converse. Gearbox and engine mounts are good, so this is the only thing I can put it down to. What do you think? Cheers Scott.

Re: Transfer case mounts
Hi Does the sound seem to phase in and out and does it go away/reduce as the speed increases? Could be the prop shafts being slightly out of balance, which leads to this type of noise.. Mine does it since the underside was shot blasted, Shultz'd and wax oiled. I am dropping into a place in Manchester to get mine checked at some point. Like you all the joints are serviceable and the 'greasing' done religiously. Just a thought Ta Simon
