I'm moving from the other side
Hi All, I've owned discovey's since the first TD5 came out in 99 but I've reached my limit with breakdowns and broken parts, I enjoy offroading and adventure and although I don't do competitions I'm not scared where I put my disco and I'm a member of a jeep club(www.j33p.org) because they seam to hold better offroad events.
I probabley have the most tricked up Td5 disco around and every thing I do to it is either custom made or the first to be produced and I love it......it has amazing on road handling and is good for long distance offroading but its not perfect for everything  , its too long and heavy and underpowered and all comonents are at there limt which is why I'm looking at a SWB G Wagon
I have been looking for a G400 swb in silver with black leather but can't find one ready made and even looked at G270 but still no luck, I wanted it in time to go to Morocco at the end of july but not being able to find one have to take my disco :(
So I've now ordered a new G400 which will be here at the end of September  and will hopefully meet up wih you guys offroading and start the procedure of modifying the G when I get it and will share my experiances good and bad with you.
Glad you manage to get a G. I think going new is the wise choice for a G400. At least you've got a warranty! Might want to consider MB's extended warranty too if what we hear about the G400 is true... but lets hope you proove us wrong.
I think you will never go back to landrovers...
How are you getting to Morocco? Driving or ferry? Curious as I'd like to head out there at somepoint.
Hi Maxwell, I'm catching the ferry to santander in spain and then drive the 660 miles to the ferry crossing ove to morocco.
I'm going with trailmasters and its called the high summer speical, because of the heat they tend to keep high in the mountains which is better offroading
