not sure what you mean by the 3 fixings. headlamps for the g are the same as a mk1 VW golf, Try there forum if they have one, which I am sure they do, and see if they have a source and wether they can help. Dont mention G wagens as they we willl look like this

you have lugs at 10, 2 and 7 o'clock. the ones at 7 and 2 are screw adjusters and the one at 10 has a black plastic turny bit. that holds the lamp on and then you screw the long screws in. ten is between 9 and 11. 7 between 6 and 8 and 2 is one up on you, no offense taken, its not attitude its humour, now piss off back to the GTI club

P.s there is also a spring that attaches to the back of the lamp at 5 ,oclock which reminds me its dinners time.

Re: new type clear headlamps

Some 7" lights have the lugs integral with the lense .. most have a ring that is seperate and can be twisted to lock the lense in place via 3 keyholed slots at about 120 degree intervals (but they are not exactly that so you cannot get the lense upside down). Have a closer look at the originals .. sometimes that ring rusts on solid to the lense and so appears as one .. not sure where you get one but they are common on this fitment style. Note some 7" lenses have different amounts of "thickness" so that you have to use washers between ring and bowl to avoid distorting the very thin ring.

Not had my lights out yet so cannot be G specific.. give me time  .. probably going with clear + blue bulbs as I have this on my daily motor in 7" (but no sidelights so not G compatible). These Japan spec lenses give a better light but the cut off is sharper than the Hellas I had before.
